If you have time, the Pays Country is full of places waiting for you to discover! Along the coast, starting with the towns of Biarritz and Saint-Jean-de-Luz that still preserve the memory of luxurious parties they hosted in the 20s. Beautiful homes that face the ocean and local specialties (macaroons, chocolate) will delight all visitors. Why not visit the Church of Saint-Jean where Louis XIV married the Infanta of Spain and admire their beautiful home overlooking the small harbour of the city. The adjacent square is very pleasant during the summer season. Biarritz’ promenade where you will discover the coast from the sumptuous Grand Hotel du Palais, to the Rocher de la Vierge, via the beach of Biarritz from which you can watch the many surfers. The city hosts numerous competitions and has become the emblem of the Atlantic coast. If you want to see more, visit Guéthary which is known for having the best spots around!

Bidart’s Pavillon Royal Beach – an untamed corner
The city has many beaches that will satisfy young and old. That of Ilbarritz is the liveliest with its clubs, it welcomes the youth of the coast, the Royal Pavilion is quieter and is perfect for families while Erretegia Beach is ideal to learn how to surf. That of the Centre is one of the busiest, that of Uhabia is lively and Parlementia Beach reaches Guéthary. If you like walking, you can go from Basques Beach in Biarritz to the beaches of Bidart!
